Launch of new Dean 5000 Sailing Catamaran

We are very excited about the launch of the first new Dean 5000, scheduled for 15 July at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town South Africa.

Dean Catamarans has been designing and building large catamarans for 24 years and is an accredited member of SABBEX, the South African marine export council. The company has been successfully selling into the French market for the past 10 years, mainly via the La Rochelle Boat Show. All Dean catamarans are fully CE certified for quality and safety.

The new Dean 5000 has many new design elements to take it beyond the best French competitors, with European styling and a futuristic exterior to set it apart from any manufacturer in its category. The Dean 5000 will define and set future trends others will find difficult to follow.

Clear, clean and uncluttered deck areas; no ropes on deck, no exposed anchor windlass nor anchor.
Jib is self-tacking, controlled from the cockpit.
A Schreecher (Code Zero) sail is replaced with a reaching sail permanently fitted onto a fixed forestay.
Large windows and portlights throughout.
Rainwater collection systems flowing from the recessed solar panels.
Minimum headroom 2.05m throughout; saloon and cockpit floors at same level.
Minimum bridgedeck clearance is 1,1m to avoid slapping.
Unique and spacious cockpit provided with coachroof extension. Solid bimini for weather protection and lifestyle living.
Customisation of the lay-out configuration to suit the owner's specific sailing needs.
